Your steps go only to the people you choose, and nobody else can read them, including us.
On this page
Sharing your steps should feel like walking with a friend, not posting to the world. Every part of it is built so that what you share reaches the people you chose, and no one else.
Only the people you choose
There's no public profile, no search, and no leaderboard. Nobody can find you or follow you. The only way someone connects with you is through your card, and only once you've both said yes.
Your picture stays with you until you're connected. Someone you send your card to sees your name first, and your picture once you've accepted.
Sealed on your iPhone
Everything you share is sealed on your iPhone before it leaves, and only your friend's phone can open it. Our service just passes the sealed messages along. It can't see your steps, your name, your picture, or where you are.
What your friends see
- Today's steps, hour by hour, and your stand hours
- Your name and picture
- The state you pick, like Home or Park, when you pick one
That's it. Your Health history, your goal, your location, and your other settings never leave your device.
No account to manage
No sign-up. No password. The app uses your App Store purchase to identify you, so there’s nothing to remember and no password to leak. Your list of friends is kept in your own iCloud, so it's there on your other devices too.
You're in control
- Stop Sharing pauses everything with a friend, in both directions.
- Delete removes someone, and they're told.
- Your card is how people reach you, so share it with people you know.
What to read next
- Walk with a friend — make your card and connect with someone.
- Privacy and sync — what the rest of the app keeps on your device.
